A Message From Randy Brogdon

I have begun working with Oklahoma State Senator Randy Brogdon , on his campaign to become Governor. Randy is a strong Constitutional Conservative, who, as he likes to say, is a "danger to the status quo!

Randy has spent his two terms in the OK State Senate, battling against the increase of the scope of Government, and it's infringements on our liberty. As Randy says, he puts every bill that he has to vote on, through a 4 question test.

1. Is it Constitutional? If not, then it gets a "NO".
2. Do we need it? Again, if not, the vote is "NO".
3. Can we afford it? No money for the project, vote "NO"'
4. Does it increase Government power, or the Liberties of the People? If it increases Government, the vote is, again, "NO".

Randy has worked tirelessly to protect and restore the freedoms and liberties that are granted by the Constitution, including sponsoring the Oklahoma Sovereignty Resolution, restating our 10th Amendment Rights.

This commitment to our Freedom, and the Cause of Liberty, is why I am supporting Randy for Governor of the State of Oklahoma, and he needs our help!

He sent this letter out to his email list today, and I want to pass it on to every Freedom Lover that I can.

Dear Friends,

I want to thank all of you who have invested in my campaign for governor. We are in a last minute push to meet our goal of raising $100,000 by tomorrow June 30 before this quarter’s filing deadline. Please consider investing in my campaign and make a contribution by going to my website www.randybrogdon.com . Multiplication of your efforts will move us closer to reaching our goal. Please invest any amount you can.

25 people x $25.00 = $625

50 x 50 = $2500

100 x $100 = $10,000

250 x $250 = 62,500

50 x $500 = 25,000

Randy Brogdon

ANYTHING you can do to help, whether monetary, or volunteering your time, is greatly needed, and will go a LONG way toward safe-guarding the freedoms that we all love so dearly!

Don't do nothing, because you can only do a little!

Please write, call and fax your Congressmen and Senators on Thursday, June 25th, 2009.

Obama's First 100 DaysImage by wstera2 via Flickr

It is CRITICAL that you, your family members, friends, colleagues and neighbors raise major objections to the Waxman/Markey energy/environmental bill up for vote THIS FRIDAY. They are trying to pass this in the shadows of Health Care, Iran and North Korea issues dominating the national media!

Tell them to vote NO and be sure to call your Democratic members and voice your opinion loud and clear. Unless you want to pay another $3,000 per year plus for energy, be sure to call. Please cut and paste what you wish from the information below from the Heritage Foundation. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR DOING YOUR PART!!! Don't let them cripple our economy and nation any further.

If you are unsure of your representatives contact information, go to www.boortz.com who has a link to all contact information. Please send this email to everyone you know who may care.

Here's the details you need to know:

Reps. Henry Waxman (D-CA) and Ed Markey (D-MA) modified their global warming proposal to win support from skeptical congressmen, but in the process made the bill worse for the U.S. economy.

The economic impact of the new draft varies from that of the original draft in several major ways:

Compared to no cap and trade, real GDP losses increase an additional $2 trillion, from $7.4 trillion under the original draft to $9.4 trillion under the new draft;
Compared to no cap and trade, average unemployment increases an additional 261,000 jobs, from 844,000 lost jobs under the original draft to 1,145,000 lost jobs under the new draft; and
Peak-year unemployment losses rise by 500,000 jobs, from 2 million under the original draft to 2.5 million under the new draft.

Though the proposed legislation would have little impact on world temperatures, it is a massive energy tax in disguise that promises job losses, income cuts, and a sharp left turn toward big government.
Ultimately, this bill would result in government-set caps on energy use that damage the economy and hobble growth--the very growth that supports investment and innovation. Analysis of the economic impact of Waxman-Markey projects that by 2035 the bill would:

o Reduce aggregate gross domestic product (GDP) by $9.4 trillion;
o Destroy 1,145,000 jobs on average, with peak years seeing unemployment rise by over 2,479,000 jobs;
o Raise electricity rates 90 percent after adjusting for inflation;
o Raise inflation-adjusted gasoline prices by 58 percent;
o Raise residential natural gas prices by 55 percent;
o Raise an average family's annual energy bill by $1,241; and
o Result in an increase of $28,728 in additional federal debt per person, again after adjusting for inflation

Further, Cap and Trade Is Wrong
o It's a Massive Energy Tax
o It Will Not Make a Substantive Impact on the Environment
o It Will Kill Jobs
o It Will Cause Electricity Bills and Gas Prices to Sharply Increase
o It Will Outsource Manufacturing Jobs and Hurt Free Trade
o It Will Make You Choose among Energy, Groceries, Clothing and Haircuts
o It Will Be Highly Susceptible to Fraud and Corruption
o It Will Hurt Senior Citizens, the Poor, and the Unemployed the Worst
o It Will Cost American Families Nearly $3,000 a Year
o President Obama Admitted "Electricity Rates Would Necessarily Skyrocket" Under His Cap-and-Trade Program (January 2008)

Businesses Suing the City ofTulsa Over Arbitrary, and Unfair Taxation

More Join Lawsuit To Stop Ballpark Assessment Fees|NewsChannel 8
The City of Tulsa has decided that ANY business in the Downtown Assessment Area is going receive extra benefits from having the new Ballpark near them, so it's only fair that they should all have to pay more taxes for it. A LOT MORE TAXES!

William Tabler of Chromium, a chrome plating business, has seen his assessment go from a couple of hundred dollars, to more than 12 THOUSAND DOLLARS! That's basically like forcing them to make a contribution to the park, and yet receive ZERO benefit. Ballpark attendees are not going to stop in to get a little chrome work done, on the way to the game. SERIOUSLY, where is the "benefit" to Mr. Tabler's business? Why should he have to foot the bill for the rest of the City?

William Tabler's story is not unique. In fact, seventeen other businesses in the Downtown Area, have filed a Class-Action lawsuit against the city over it, claiming the "Assessment Zoning" is unfair. The lawsuit includes an injunction to prevent the collection of the assessments.

If the lawsuit is successful, there is still enough money to build the Ballpark, but the other developments slated to be built on property surrounding the Ballpark, will have to be funded in another way.

Let me say that again...

If the lawsuit is successful, there is still enough money to build the Ballpark, but the other developments slated to be built on property surrounding the Ballpark, will have to be funded in another way.

So, the assessment isn't REALLY for the Ballpark? It's to pay for the development of new businesses, and improvement on privately owned properties?!?! Stop me if I'm wrong here, but doesn't that strike anyone else as WRONG? Why are our tax dollars going to fund someone else's business? I'd like to know who the business owners are, that are benefiting from this, wouldn't you?

This seems really fishy to me.

What I do know, is this. If I want to build a building for my business, not only will I not get it paid for by the City, but they will make me jump through 9 kinds of red tape, and pay exorbitant "zoning fees". So, why is the City, which is already several million dollars in the red, using tax dollars to pay for improvements for private businesses? The City Budget had to be cut in numerous areas this year, and we still don't have the 200 more cops on the street that were promised, but Tulsa can afford a new 86 million dollar City Hall building, a 178 million dollar Duct Tape Arena (BOK Center), and another 60 million dollars to build a new Ballpark, and develop the area around it?

Someone is making a LOT OF MONEY at the expense of the City of Tulsa, and the taxpayers. Don't be surprised when the final investigation turns up fraud and corruption on the level of Chicago and New York organized crime.

Mark my words.

Flag Day Tea Party a Success!

American Flag (also a jigsaw puzzle )Image by uhuru1701 via Flickr

The 3rd installment of the Tulsa TeaParty Ralllies, was another resounding success!

Talk Radio Station 1170 KFAQ was terrific in supporting us, including Elvis Polo, who was our moderator for the Q & A session with State Senator Randy Brogdon, who is running for Oklahoma Governor, Clay Clark, who is rinning for Mayor of Tulsa, and David Brumbaugh, who is running for the State House of Representatives.

The day started off with the Pledge of Allegiance, and a wonderful rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner by the LaCount family! Following that, Victor LaCount, our emcee, welcomed everyone to the Rally 'Round the Flag Tulsa Tea Party. Several speakers followed, including Jai Blevins (Tulsa Tea Party Founder), Ken Yazel (Tulsa County Tax Assessor), Tim Miller (Highly Decorated former Green Beret), Nancy Parsons (Speaking about Universal HealthCare), and RJ Harris (Iraq War Veteran, running for Congress). We also had "Betsy Ross" speak on the history and importance of the American Flag. Interspersed were several wonderful renditions of patriotic songs, with the high point being Victor LaCount singing "Proud to be an American". He called up all of the Veteran's to stand in front of the stage, and sang a moving a powerful version of the song. One lady from the crowd stepped forward and shook hands with everyone of the Vet's, and this started a spontaneous movement from the crowd, as everyone lined up to do the same. This made all of us feel that pride and honor, once more, that came from wearing that uniform!

Following the entertainment, and wonderful speakers, we had a crowd submitted Q & A Session with the candidates present. Each of the candidates were asked and given 2 minutes to answer. The candidates handled themselves very well, with Senator Randy Brogdon, and Clay Clark drawing some of the biggest applause.

Finally, we ended with a Patriotic costume, and Best Sign Contest. There were many great costumes and signs, and pictures of those will be posted ASAP!

The only negative for the day, was the fact that despite several press release emails, and postings on their community calendars, most of the local media, completely ignored us! The only news media that covered us at all were 1170 KFAQ, and KTUL Channel 8! The rest of the media basically pretended they didn't know anything about it! I am personally boycotting the News programs on all other stations from this point forward! I urge those who support the Tulsa Tea Party to do likewise.

As Always, I Ask

Newcomer Clay Clark Polling Well

City of TulsaImage via Wikipedia

Since Kathy Taylor's announcement that she would not seek a second term as Tulsa's Mayor, the local Talk Radio stations have been running online polls, asking the question
"Who Would You Like to See as Tulsa's Next Mayor"

On KRMG, the Polling results show Chris Medlock out front, with 23% and several other names showing strongly, including Newcomer Clay Clark in 2nd with 14%, former Mayor Bill LaFortune with 14%, and City Counll Councilor Bill Christiansen with 12%.

On KFAQ, the Poll has Medlock leading, as well, with 38%, and Clay Clark in 2nd again, with 28%. Christiansen has 11%, and noone else has more than 5%.

Considering the major advantage in name recognition that all of the other candidates have, this is a really good starting point! With these kinds of numbers this early, Clay has to be considered a serious contender, and the "powers that be" have to be getting nervous!!

Kathy Taylor's Decision Creates "Wild West" in the GOP

"Republican Party Elephant" logoImage via Wikipedia

Tulsa Mayor Kathy Taylor's decision not to seek re-election, has suddenly changed the race for the GOP nomination. Taylor, though unpopular with many Tulsans, was seen as unbeatable, prior to this surprising announcement. Last week, it looked like no one from within the GOP wanted challenge her, and her "Million Dollar War Chest". Now, with her out of the race, it looks like every, "I'm retired from politics", "my wife couldn't put up with another run", I'm happy where I am" Republican inside the city limits, is suddenly chomping at the bit, to be Mayor!

City Councilor Bill Christiansen said "I'm strongly considering it and very likely to run for mayor."

"I've been interested," said Jim Williamson, a Republican and former state senator. "I wasn't going to run against (Taylor), but I may look at it now."

Republicans who were reticent to challenge Taylor, now seem almost eager to throw their hats into the ring.
Besides Christiansen and Williamson, City Councilors G.T. Bynum, Rick Westcott and Bill Martinson and former City Councilors Dewey Bartlett Jr. and Chris Medlock all say they will at least consider the race. Even former City Councilor Susan Neal and former Mayor Bill LaFortune are more cautious but didn't rule out campaigns.

Bynum said he is being encouraged to run by a number of people throughout the community, which has him looking at the possibility.

Westcott said he's always done what he believes is in the best interest of Tulsa.

"The determining factor for me on this race is whether it is best for the city that I continue to serve as a councilor or mayor," he said. "I haven't yet figured that out."

Martinson said he isn't ruling out a bid for the seat, but for now is focusing on getting a city budget approved.

Medlock, an unsuccessful mayoral candidate in 2006, said he owes it to his supporters to consider the race.

"My phone has been ringing off the hook the last 24 hours," he said. "I've had Facebook messages. I've had people asking me for yard signs. Out of respect for those people, I have to at least give it consideration."

And then there is the man who has the Courage of His Convictions, and had already announced he was running, and was willing to take on Taylor's Big Money backers, Clay Clark.
Clark is a newcomer to the Tulsa political scene, and has been quickly gaining support amongst the "grassroots" and Tea Party crowds, with his message of "Smaller Government = Bigger Wallets" and "The Fight Against Socialism Starts in Tulsa" message. Clark is a two-time SBA Entrepeneur of the Year, due to his work in founding and running Tulsa's DJ Connections. Clark's message of common sense and Conservative Values, resonates with the same people who stand strong on Constitutional Principles, and the Christian Values, that our Nation was founded on.

His critics, and opponents, will point to his lack of experience in public office. But look around at the candidates running against him, do we really want more of the same, from the same old candidates? I say it's time for more Clay Clarks to stand up, and run for major office. Who says you have to start in a low-level post, and work your way through it? That may be the accepted method, but the accepted method is very obviously BROKEN! What we do NOT need is more career politicians, looking for the next step up the ladder of politics.

Only two of these candidates have shown ANY support for the Tulsa Tea Party Movement, Chris Medlock, who spoke at the Tax Day Tea Party, and attended the first Tea Party on Feb 27, 2009, and Clay Clark, who attended the Tax Day Tea Party, and was inspired by that event to declare himself in for the Tulsa Mayoral Race, and will speak at the Flag Day Rally 'Round The Flag Tea Party on June 13th, 2009.

We can win this, and show all of the established politicians that we mean business! As of the writing of this Blog, Chris Medlock was leading in all three polls, with Clay Clark 2nd in 2 out of 3, and City Councilman Bill Christiansen garenering the 3rd most votes. Conservative politics have the lead, and Tulsa would be well served by either Medlock, or Clark. However, my pick for the GOP nomination is Clay Clark, because he will bring a new, fresh perspective to running Tulsa!

It's time that "We the People" became part of the process again, instead of just sitting on the sidelines, and watching the same group of people make the decisions for us! Get out there and VOTE FOR CLAY CLARK! Starting today in the surveys and polls placed on www.krmg.com and www.1170kfaq.com/patcampbell and on this page. Then at the primaries in September, and the Election in November!

DO YOU HAVE THE COURAGE OF YOUR CONVICTIONS?

Why I Voted Democrat

Get Back to SchoolImage by redteam via Flickr

This was sent to me in an email....You should all really enjoy it!

I voted Democrat because I love the fact that I can now marry whatever I want.
I've decided to marry my horse.

I voted Democrat because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene, but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn't.

I voted Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.

I voted Democrat because Freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.

I voted Democrat because when we pull out of Iraq I trust that the bad guys will stop what they are doing because they now think we are good people.

I voted Democrat because I'm way too irresponsible to own a gun, and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves.

I voted Democrat because I believe that people who can't tell us if it will rain on Friday can tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don't start driving a Prius.

I voted Democrat because I'm not concerned about the slaughter of millions of babies so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.

I voted Democrat because I think illegal aliens have a right to free health care, education, and Social Security benefits.

I voted Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as the democrats see fit.

I voted Democrat because I believe liberal judges need to rewrite The Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would never get their agendas past the voters.

I voted Democrat because my head is so firmly planted up my ass that it is unlikely that I'll ever have another point of view.

Jihadist Terror Attack in Little Rock!

U.S.Image via Wikipedia

A heinous act of terrorism was committed in Little Rock, Arkansas on Monday June 1, 2009. Just one say after the horrible, and indefensible murder of late-term abortionist Geroge Tiller in Kansas.

The Obama Administrations Reaction to the Tiller murder was swift, and unflinching. US Attorney General Eric Holder issued the following Statement:

The murder of Doctor George Tiller is an abhorrent act of violence, and his family is in our thoughts and prayers at this tragic moment. Federal law enforcement is coordinating with local law enforcement officials in Kansas on the investigation of this crime, and I have directed the United States Marshals Service to offer protection to other appropriate people and facilities around the nation. The Department of Justice will work to bring the perpetrator of this crime to justice. As a precautionary measure, we will also take appropriate steps to help prevent any related acts of violence from occurring.

And, I agree that, until the person, or persons, involved in this horribly misguided act, are brought to justice, taking these precautions is warranted.

However, the next day, two volunteer Army Recruiters were gunned down by a man who had spent time in prison, and converted to Islam. The man responsible traveled to Yemen, for no apparent reason (terrorist training?), and returned to the US, and armed with maps of Recruiting stations, Jewish Synagogues, and the like. he then drove up to the US Army Recruiting station, and opened fire on the unarmed, and unsuspecting Private William Long, and Private Quinton Ezeagwula. Private Long died of his wounds, and Private Ezeagwula was hospitalized.

The Obama Administration has issued NO STATEMENT, regarding this obvious act of terrorism. While the left LOUDLY calls for the retirement of Bill O'Reilly for his consistent verbal attacks on George Tiller's practice, they have studiously avoided even mentioning the Little Rock Recruiter Killings! Why is O'Reilly's rhetoric to blame for the Tiller murder, and Keith Olberman's acerbic diatribe's against the War in Iraq, completely ignored as a possible cause of the Recruiter Killings?

As usual, TV and radio hosts only incite bad behavior when there is an isolated screwball, who calls himself a conservative, that does something horrible. But, when a terrorist does what they always do, "we are still researching a motive."

This is just another in the litany of examples of the Leftist Agenda, to push their Humanist Ideas, and ignore anything that might contradict their preconceived thoughts.

I for one, am praying for the families of the victims in both of these cases. And praying that the perpetrators of these crimes BOTH get the MAXIMUM PENALTY UNDER THE LAW, for their horribly evil acts!

Tulsa Has A Choice For Mayor!

TULSA HAS A CHOICE FOR MAYOR

There is a "new face" on the Tulsa political scene, who is challenging the "status quo", and getting shredded for his efforts. Clay Clark, a successful small business owner, and the Oklahoma SBA Entrepreneur in 2007, has thrown his hat into the race for Tulsa Mayor. He is not a career politician, nor does he want to be. He told me

"I am only running for 1 term, I'm not going to be in there trying to get reelected. I'm going in to fix the problems with our streets, and the lack of Police on our streets."

Clay is a breath of fresh air in the "old boys club" of  politics as usual, here in Tulsa. Most of the establishment within the Tulsa County Republican Party, have taken great pains, to either marginalize him as a "goofball", (one even introduced him as  DJ Jazzy Clay at a GOP Event), or to attack him for "not understanding" the reasons that Tulsa County is the most taxed county in the state, despite also being the most Republican County in the state! The very party that claims to be about conservative values, like lower taxes and reduced Government spending, is the ones attacking anyone who proposes doing those things! Oh, they come out to the Tea Party Rallies, and say the right things, but behind closed doors, they attack those who actually try to make a stand, like Senator Coburn, State Senator Brogdon, and County Tax Assessor Ken Yazel! These great men, who defend our Constitution, also challenge the hold that these others have on power and money. When someone actually propose a real restoration of power to the people, and real  tax reform, and tighter control on Governmental spending, they are shouted down, ridiculed, or have their character attacked.

It's despicable, and makes me want to sever my ties with the GOP!

However, if we are going to effect REAL change, we need to have the name recognition of the GOP, so I propose that EVERYONE who is a liberty loving, TEA PARTY going,  American Patriot, go register as a Republican, show up at EVERY party meeting and Club, VOTE in the primaries, and make them take us seriously!

No matter what the GOP may say, they DO NOT know what is best for us, or the Party. We the People, need to let them know that WE are in charge now!

Clay Clark has chosen to run against incumbent Mayor Kathy Taylor. If you would like to hear what he has to say about his vision for Tulsa and would open your home to a neighborhood gathering, give Jai Blevins a call at 918-760-8282,or email batcot@gmail.com so that we can schedule a time, and go over the details!

Clay and his wife are happy to talk with citizens, listen to your concerns and answer any questions you might have.

After reviewing acknowledgments of God from all 50 state
constitutions, one is faced with the prospect that maybe, the ACLU and the out-of-control federal courts are wrong! If you found this to be 'Food for thought' send to as many as you think will be enlightened as I hope you were.

(Please note that at no time is anyone told that they MUST worship God.) I was forwarded this in an email, and I found it enlightening! It seems that EVERY SINGLE STATE'S CONSTITUTION'S acknowledges God, and invoke either thanks, or His Guidance. Throughout our history, we have been a Christian nation, but tolerated the free expression of other religious beliefs.

However, we have always condemned those religions that violated our basic morals.
When the Mormons flaunted the laws of the land, and our basic morals with polygamy, they were driven from community after community. It was not until they gave up their polygamous ways, that they were allowed to practice their religion in peace. Nor do we allow "religions" that rely on blood sacrifices to practice these repugnant practices. Nor those that allow the abuse of women and children.

Why, then, are we supposed to look the other way when a "religion" of hate is coming into our country, and other countries, and proclaiming death sentences on any who speak out against the evil that is Islam?

The basic tenets of Islam, include killing all "infidels" (non-Muslims) who refuse to convert, The right to break any agreement made with an "infidel", The BRUTAL subjugation of women, Polygamy and Jihad. Islam is NOT a peaceful religion that we can "coexist" with. The very tenets of Islam make that impossible.

If you doubt what I have to say, read the Q'uran for yourself!
